China-Europe Freight Trains’ Eastern Corridor Reaches 5,000 Trips

A China-Europe freight train carrying 60 carriages of home appliances and digital products departed from the Manzhouli railway port in north China’s Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, marking another milestone for the “eastern corridor” of the China-Europe freight train network. So far this year, the corridor has handled 5,166 train trips.

The eastern corridor comprises three major railway ports—Manzhouli, Suifenhe and Tongjiang. The range of goods transported along this route has expanded to more than 1,000 categories, reflecting the growing diversity of China-Europe trade.

The network now operates 27 routes through the eastern passage, connecting over 60 Chinese cities with 14 countries across Europe, further strengthening cross-border logistics and economic cooperation between the two regions.
