ISLAMABAD: China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC) and the National University of Sciences & Technology (NUST) have inaugurated the UWB Program, marking a significant step toward strengthening academic–industry cooperation and expanding youth development opportunities in Pakistan.
The inauguration ceremony was held at NUST’s Research & Innovation Centre (RIC), where senior representatives of NUST warmly welcomed a CSCEC Pakistan delegation. The event was facilitated by the NUST Placement Office and focused on fostering long-term collaboration between academia and industry.
In a statement, CSCEC expressed its commitment to leveraging the UWB Program to support skills training, academic exchange, and joint talent development, with the aim of injecting professional vitality into Pakistan’s construction sector and further promoting China–Pakistan cooperation in technology and industry.
The ceremony featured CSCEC Pakistan’s corporate video and the UWB Program brand video, followed by a presentation highlighting NUST’s strong emphasis on industry engagement, experiential learning, and student skill development through global partnerships. A leadership exchange session explored potential cooperation in internship placements, employment pathways, and student-led project opportunities.
As a long-term strategic initiative of CSCEC, the UWB Program operates under the vision “Inspire to Rise, Build to Thrive”, aiming to empower local talent and build a shared future through professional growth and sustainable industry development.
The event concluded with the unveiling and handover of the Luban Workshop plaque, reaffirming the shared intent of CSCEC and NUST to pursue future engagements that promote innovation, skills enhancement, and meaningful opportunities for Pakistan’s youth.
