Doha: Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has said that Pakistan is moving ahead successfully in achieving economic stability.
Addressing a panel session at the 23rd edition of the Doha Forum, Federal Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb said that reforms are being carried out in the country for the development of taxes, energy, government institutions and the private sector.
He said that the reforms have increased the country’s exports, and exports of IT services are expected to reach US$ 4 billion this year.
On the other hand, Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met his Qatari counterpart Ali bin Ahmed Al-Kuwari in Doha. During the meeting, discussions were held regarding further strengthening economic relations between the two countries.
The two leaders agreed to promote the trade sector and increase cooperation in the energy sector after the completion of the Gulf-Pakistan Free Trade Agreement.
